Description

PHO Grand Rounds:

Have We Learned Anything?: The Infection Control Resource Team (ICRT) Story

Infection Control Resource Teams (ICRT) were initially created to address Clostridium difficile in acute care facilities back in 2008. Since then, PHO has extended its reach to any health care facilities experiencing outbreak management issues. From the multiple ICRT visits, many lessons have been learned which have allowed PHO to improve the way they address ICRT requests and has also led to practice improvements. This presentation will summarize the processes used by the ICRT as well as lessons learned over the years

Presenter: Isabelle Guerreiro

Isabelle Guerreiro became an Infection Control Professional in 2001. She assumed the role as Network Coordinator of the Northeastern Ontario Infection Control Network in 2006 and, since 2013, has been an IPAC Specialist with Public Health Ontario.
